Frigate Piping offers pipe spool process services.

Pipe spools are fabricated to meet the requirements of our clients who have a wide range of different project needs in industries such as chemical, power, mining and Oil & gas.

Using Iso metric drawings which are generally supplied by our clients or engineers with a variety of materials from carbon steel to stainless steel and alloys. We cater for all types and sizes of material from ½” NB, all the way to 60” NB.
Spools are manufactured from a number of raw pipes and pipe fittings (e.g elbows, flanges, tees, etc.) in our assembly workshop. Raw pipes are cut to the required sizes then moved with pipe fittings to a fitting table, where some of the components are fitted together and tack welded checked dimensionally prior to final welding.

Frigate Piping use a number of qualified welders and this number has increased to meet the client's deadline. We are able to produce up to 3000 diameter inches of welding in a single shift. Pipe spooling when fabricated offsite gives the client the ability to have the majority of piping spooled in the workshop including fit up, welding, NDT such as X-ray dimensional control, surface treatment and finishing prior to sending to site for inclusion into the piping system.
